ANGER

We all experience anger as a normal emotion that we feel from time to time. However, the level and prolonged period of anger can be dangerous and destructive to others and ourselves. It can even cause other psychological problems such as depression and anxiety and physical problems such as high blood pressure. These angry outbursts can have a negative impact on our family, relationships, work, etc. and can cause more turmoil in our lives.

With the help of anger management, one can learn to manage these unhealthy attitudes and behaviours. With the help of integrative therapy with main components of cognitive behavioural therapy, the therapist helps the client recognise if there are any underlying issues for this anger. The therapist provides the client a safe environment where their triggers, precipitators and negative beliefs and thoughts can be explored. In addition, they are provided with better coping mechanisms including various cognitive and behavioural strategies that help them manage their anger better.
